Frequently Asked Questions
Lessons
How often do classes take place?
Baby swimming classes take place once or twice a week.
How long is each lesson?
Each lesson lasts 40 minutes and includes exercises woven into games, so that learning happens in a pleasant way.
How are the groups formed?
Children are separated into small groups according to age, because as they grow and the brain matures, the way they need to be trained changes, and with it the exercise program they need to follow.
Do parents enter the water too?
Yes, until babies can float safely on their own — roughly up to the age of 2.5.
Are there classes without a parent?
Yes, once children can swim safely, parents step out of the water and the children continue the lesson with the instructor, taking on the role of young athletes.
Safety
Is baby swimming safe?
Yes, baby swimming is the only safe activity that can be done at such a young age. It is recommended by pediatricians as the activity that offers the greatest benefits, with no risk of strain or injury.
Is the pool area designed for babies and young children?
Yes. The facilities are specifically organized for baby swimming, ensuring families can stay and enjoy our swimming schools comfortably and without any inconvenience.
Hygiene
How is the pool water disinfected?
Disinfection is carried out using a modern salt electrolysis method, which disinfects the water without adding chemical chlorine, which can cause allergies.
How is water quality monitored?
Water quality is monitored continuously and electronically, and is certified through systematic microbiological testing from an accredited laboratory.
What temperature is the pool kept at?
The pool temperature is kept steady at 30–32°C throughout the year.
Benefits
Why is baby swimming important?
Baby swimming is one of the first organized activities a baby can safely take part in. Since infancy is when babies develop all of their physical systems as well as their emotional and social skills, regular exercise and socialization offer benefits that no child can gain without taking part in the activity — benefits that stay with them throughout their adult life, like a lifelong gift.
Does it help water familiarity and confidence?
Yes. The program is a way for the child to gain comfort in the water, more self-confidence, and gradually acquire all the essential swimming skills.
Does it help the parent-child bond?
Yes, this can be considered one of the greatest benefits of the activity, since a shared, positive experience and the quality time spent together strengthens the parent-child relationship.
